Transport of the future: Bremerhaven-based forwarding company to go for hydrogen trucks

published: 16.05.2021

On the occasion of the start of H2Cool Prelude, the German radio station Radio Bremen introduced the project in a radio report. The project partners presented the planned work in an interview. "The technology is suitable, we all agree on that," emphasizes Prof. Benjamin Wagner vom Berg, who researches and teaches logistics at the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences.

The project should now elaborate on the framework conditions which must be met such that the technology could also be used on a larger scale. For example, the researchers want to know: Who is supplying the hydrogen? What if there is a defect? Are hydrogen trucks allowed to drive through tunnels? Are economic conditions feasible? H2Cool Prelude will provide an answer to all of these questions.
